The construction site of China ’s Xiamen Metro Line 2 and Lujing Station collapsed last night, forming a large pothole of about 500 square meters. Several cars were affected. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The collapse also caused water pipes to rupture, causing flooding in subway stations and affecting the water supply of thousands of households. The fine road had broken a large hole, and the reinforced concrete was exposed. A white car was swallowed instantly, and another gray car almost fell. The picture was shocking. The incident occurred at more than 9pm on the 12th. The construction site of Xiamen Metro Line 2 and Lujing Station suddenly collapsed, the water pipes burst, and a large amount of sewage poured into the station hall, platforms and railroad tracks under construction. Due to the location of the incident, which happened to be the junction of Line 1 and Line 2 of the Xiamen Metro, the subway operation was affected for a time. At present, Xiamen Metro Line 2 has not yet been opened for operation, but Xiamen Metro Line 1 has about 5 stops due to the impact of a water pipe rupture. It is currently in a state of shutdown. Fortunately, according to expert research and judgment, the collapsed area will not pose a threat to surrounding buildings for the time being, and the fire department has repeatedly confirmed that no personnel were trapped. At the time, several of the small cars trapped at the time were all lifted away by cranes, and the people trapped in the vehicles also evacuated safely after the collapse. The Xiamen Metro Line 2 was originally expected to open before the end of the year. Unexpectedly, it only took 2 weeks to pass the acceptance check before an accident occurred. The preliminary analysis may be caused by the rupture of the water pipe and the erosion of the soil. As for the exact cause, further investigation is needed.
